The Hague, November 30, 2023 – ARLANXEO is strengthening its position as one of the world’s leading producers of synthetic rubber by debottlenecking its production processes at its Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) plants in Orange, USA and Leverkusen, Germany. 

The debottlenecking activities reiterate ARLANXEO’s commitment towards meeting the growing demand for advanced synthetic rubber products. All debottlenecking activities are expected to be completed by the end of 2023 and will add close to 1,000 tons of additional capacity. 

ARLANXEO produces and markets HNBR grades under the Therban® brand. Therban® is widely used in the automotive systems, new mobility, oil exploration, mechanical engineering, and aerospace sectors. The Therban® plants in Orange and Leverkusen will continue to prioritize safe and efficient production while optimizing operations.
