Within the world market leader in synthetic elastomers, ARLANXEO, we are the center for mixing and testing of polymers, rubbers and its compounds. Our compounding and testing capacities are intensively used to develop new applications and to improve our products, to suit every customer‘s needs. Testing services are provided for all locations around the world, following local standards and customer requirements. Services are not limited to ARLANXEO requests, but are open to external users, too.

We perform comprehensive testing and characterization of both raw polymers and finished compounds and vulcanizates. In addition, we have the necessary equipment and experience for compounding and vulcanizing rubber available.

WHAT WE DO

Polymer Testing: kneading, pulling, rolling, mixing, tearing – these are just some of the things we do on a daily basis in our testing centers. This is where we analyze rubber to ensure that it conforms precisely to our customers' individual specifications.

Golf balls, car tires, shoe soles, seals and gaskets – they all contain rubber. For each application, different demands are made on this elastic all-rounder. It needs to be abrasion-proof, heat-resistant, impact-resistant, elastic or tear-resistant – sometimes all at once! Because the specifications vary so widely, so does our product range: We find the right mix for every customer!

We are a team of people around the globe with different skills: chemists, physicists, mathematicians, plastics molders, engineers and plastics processors: This means we have the full range of expertise concentrated in our rubber testing center, enabling us to offer wide-ranging services for rubber producers and the rubber processing industry.

The strength of ARLANXEO Polymer Testing is the result of many years of dedicated work - at each order, for each customer. We perform comprehensive testing and characterization of raw polymers, finished compounds and vulcanizates. In addition, we have the necessary equipment and experience for compounding and vulcanizing rubber available.

ARLANXEO Polymer Testing has a strong international focus. The main site is located in Leverkusen, Germany. Here, every month, some 700 rubber compounds are kneaded and rolled, and 400 different tests are carried out – all to find the right mix for our customers.

For our Asian customers ARLANXEO Rubber Technology Center in Changzhou, China, is offering a comparable range of services. Further ARLANXEO R&D centers are available for North America in London, Canada and for South America in Duque de Caxias, Brasil.
