ARLANXEO EXPLORES THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY

AT RUBBERTECH CHINA

ARLANXEO, a world-leading synthetic rubber company, today presents at RubberTech China 2019. Under the theme of “Future Mobility”, ARLANXEO, together with two business units – Tire & Specialty Rubbers and High Performance Elastomers –showcases its high-quality product portfolio and solutions in mobility and other application fields, and participates in a joint discussion about the future development of the rubber industry against the backdrop of rapidly growing market demands.

With consumption continuing to increase, and Smart Cities becoming an ever more important trend, the mobility industry is accelerating upgrade and transformation towards a safer, greener and more user-friendly future under the new concept of “Future Mobility”. Rapid market changes have also raised new requirements on product development and application in the rubber industry, in response to such demand, ARLANXEO demonstrated its core industry-leading products for mobility at RubberTech 2019.

At the exhibition, ARLANXEO's TSR business unit showcased its star products such as Buna® CB, Buna® VSL, Buna® FX, and X_Butyl®. These product series offer green tires with excellent rolling resistance and road grip, as well as outstanding resistance to abrasion, flex cracking and fatigue. Moreover, they can also expand the lifetime of tires and provide customers a safer driving experience while optimizing fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. In addition, tire inner liners made with X_Butyl® have high impermeability to air, helping to meet manufacturing requirements for modern tubeless tires.

For non-tire automotive parts such as automotive profiles, brake parts and poly V-belts, ARLANXEO’s HPE business unit showcased the Keltan® product series. Produced by sustainable Keltan® ACE™ catalyst technology, the Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber (EPDM) can maintain good dynamic properties under the harshest environmental conditions from -40℃ to 150℃, and provide better raw materials for Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPVs), to effectively compensate for the defects of traditional Thermoset Vulcanized Rubber and help boost sealing and engine system performance and ensure reliable performance of the braking system.

On the first day of the exhibition, ARLANXEO also attended the forum titled “Green Innovation with Higher quality and Enhanced Efficiency”. In the forum, Dr. Heiner Stange, New Business Development Director of BU HPE, ARLANXEO, and Mr. Wincent Feng, Technical Service & Application Development Manager of BU TSR, ARLANXEO Greater China, introduced new technical indicators for rubber materials applied to mobility industry, in fields of low heat generation, wear resistance and sustainability. At the forum, they also shared their insights in terms of design and development towards meeting the future transformation challenges of the auto industry.

Sun Hong, Managing Director of ARLANXEO China, stated that, “Over the past year, despite the multiple challenges faced by the global rubber industry, China market is growing steadily. ARLANXEO has full confidence in the China market, which we see as one of the company’s key strategic markets globally. By participating in the industry leading exhibition – RubbberTech, we hope to further promote exchanges between domestic and international counterparts and explore the development opportunities of rubber industry together.”

With the new concept of “Future Mobility”, the new mobility ecosystem is expected to effectively reduce environmental pollution and energy consumption, boosting sustainable development for the society. As an industry leader, ARLANXEO aims to provide excellent rubber products and services through cutting-edge innovation and R&D capabilities, while adhering to its strategy of balancing economic, ecological and social interests to fulfil its commitment to sustainable development.
